First, homeschooling is going on well. The kids have learned so much, we have bonded more with them and all the pencils in our house are short of erasers. I thought we had more than enough pencils until we started homeschooling. But guess what? I’m getting more comfortable with this journey. It’s a crazy good one.
Fourthly, my hair! My hair!! My hair!!! I purchased the wig you see me rocking on the picture on top. But this hair looks “jaga jaga” to me oo. Or is it that I’m not wearing it well? Is this how it is supposed to be? This afternoon, the wind kept blowing fiercely on it as though some evil person sent it to take off the wig and disgrace me. That’s it! I’m getting braids!
Fifthly,
13 โYou are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless.
14 โYou are the light of the worldโlike a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. 15 No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.
(Matthew 5, NLT)
These words spoke deep into my soul this morning. You are the salt of the earth. Don’t lose your saltiness. LET your light shine; You have to let your light shine. It should be intentional. Don’t just live hoping that your light will shine. Put that lamp on a stand and not under the table. Be a bold Christian. Be ‘aggressive’ with your generosity. Be ‘aggressive’ with your Christ-likeness. Let your light shine. To me, I’ll start by paying more attention to my neighbours, greeting them even when their heads are bowed and genuinely caring for them.
I know I said five but there is a sixth thing, people! If you read this to the end then yay! Come here and take a hug. Let’s take this relationship to the next level. Here is how: Leave a comment below to
1. Tell us your views on homeschooling
2. Tell us if you love boiled fresh corn and groundnuts
3. Tell us one book that changed your life.
4. Tell us one hair style you really like OR
5. One Bible verse that has changed your entire life.
That’s what’s up with me! See ya shortly.
Your hair is beautiful ma'm. The first thing I saw! Great to know homeschooling is working for you.
I love mohawks and red hair. Lol. Plus, I have read so many books. It's hard to choose but I'd recommend three:
– 'Purpose-driven life' by Rick Warren
– 'Never Give up' by Joyce Meryerย
– 'Ablaze for God' by Duewel (Currently reading this. Great book)
That's what's up! ๐
A wig….That's what I need. I had a big chop the 2nd time this year and have out my wigs when I had my first one so I would rock my hair. But now ehe. .I'm wishing I didn't.
You have a beautiful blog.

I love that verse!
Time and chance happen to them all.
Thank you for sharing, dear.
Glad to know homeschooling is going on well dear.I love the bible but this verse always come to me through it all Eccl 9:11King James Version (KJV) "I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all!
I've heard good things about that book, Tunde. I should get it ASAP.
Thanks, Kachee!
Is Pear what you guys call Ube? We call it "Plum". That together with corn is a match made in foodie heaven. We must indeed be intentional about letting the light in us shine.
Have a great week, dear!
Rich dad, Poor dad changed my views years ago that i came across the book. You're right a child's best teacher is his parents especially at childhood
Yay! Coming for my hug. Well done on the homeschooling, and your hair looks nice! But I'm a fan of braids as well, so feel free to switch it up. Corn and Pear is a fave of mine!! Finally I really like number 5. We must be intentional about letting our light shine.
Well done Precious!

Hi Patty,
It is very possible for a working mom to homeschool. It could be a bit challenging but with the right schedule you can do it! If I can run this blog and homeschool then I'm sure you can. Organisation is everything. However, if exclusive homeschooling doesn't work for your family at this time, just put more effort into doing school work with your kids at home. Don't be scared, dearie. The child's best teacher is most likely the parent because you know your kids more than anyone else does. Thanks for leaving a comment!
home schooling? please how does that work for a working mom. is it even possible? I love it but so scared to even think of starting it with my kids.
