HERE’S WHAT’S UP: FIVE THINGS

First, homeschooling is going on well. The kids have learned so much, we have bonded more with them and all the pencils in our house are short of erasers. I thought we had more than enough pencils until we started homeschooling. But guess what? I’m getting more comfortable with this journey. It’s a crazy good one.

I love the sincerity and vulnerability in the posts there so that’s my go-to devotional every morning. I have their button installed right on my sidebar so you can access them too. But let’s talk about this book by Lysa for a moment. I have read her devotionals related to the book and I can so relate to the things she writes. Do you ever feel like people don’t really love or care about you? Do you ever feel like you do not, ‘belong’? You can always live feeling loved no matter what the circumstances around you say. I can’t wait to curl up on the couch when the kids are in bed and eat this book. Affil link:
Fourthly, my hair! My hair!! My hair!!! I purchased the wig you see me rocking on the picture on top. But this hair looks “jaga jaga” to me oo. Or is it that I’m not wearing it well? Is this how it is supposed to be? This afternoon, the wind kept blowing fiercely on it as though some evil person sent it to take off the wig and disgrace me. That’s it! I’m getting braids!

These words spoke deep into my soul this morning. You are the salt of the earth. Don’t lose your saltiness. LET your light shine; You have to let your light shine. It should be intentional. Don’t just live hoping that your light will shine. Put that lamp on a stand and not under the table. Be a bold Christian. Be ‘aggressive’ with your generosity. Be ‘aggressive’ with your Christ-likeness. Let your light shine. To me, I’ll start by paying more attention to my neighbours, greeting them even when their heads are bowed and genuinely caring for them.

How am I just seeing this post?First off you are an amazing woman for homeschooling.I do not have an inkling on how to do that and I don't think I can.I love boiled corn and coconut,I hate ube/pear with it.I love deep kinky Brazilian hair but I'm not in a place to invest in it just yet.Like someone said in the comments the purpose driven life is one book I can't forget and it makes me remember the person who got it for me who I really do not like to remember. lol!
As for bible verses I have a lot but Habakkuk 2:3 keeps me sane in times when I want to give up.

For home schooling: I will quote Mahatma Ghandi "there is no school equal to a descent home and no teacher equals a virtuous parent". Only very few parents like you can homeschool. I will like to know if you follow a curriculum or is it child led.I bow for you dear. great job.

So home schooling… glad its going out great…. My sister homeschools her kids sometimes I drop by to visit and end up being the Math tutor hahahahahaha but doesnt it get a tad emotional when dealing ealry learners when what seems like a simple concept is not being grasped after hours of explanation and the frustration kicks in when you ask if they have a question and they say yes and you ask what? and they ask can I go play outside yet, since they are home already…..? lol how do you handle such?
I love boiled corn and groundnuts roasted or otherwise ^_^ and peanut butter naturally my gran always whips up a batch of homemade peanut butter when I visit her …. what love ^_^
Hairstyle… I would have to say Locks… my hair is slightly longer than shoulder length and everyone calls me rasta hahhahaha and I dont know why but people just warm to people with locks like ONE LOVE!!! Bob Marley to you tooo hahahha its totally weird and fun.

About homeschooling I really don't have a schedule. That's almost impossible with my toddler around- there's poop when there should Math.
However I try to get them study in the morning. If that doesn't happen then we study later in the day.
I've never tried the corn from KFC. Now you are making me want to try it.
Good to know homeschooling is going well? Please can you tell me how you schedule it for the kids? 2 hours? 3 hours? Mornings?…As for hair,I think I was Diana Ross in my former life cos I love full hairdos. The fuller the better. Love corn and pear but I'm more in love with Corn from KFC. I keep trying to find out what they add to the corn to taste so great. Books…a lot especially from Joyce Meyer.
