If you love groundnuts you wouldย loooove Peanut Burger Snack. This is a snack made by coating groundnuts otherwise known as peanuts with flour and other ingredients.
Oh my! Does deliciousness come any better than this? Peanut Burger is so crunchy, slightly sweet, nutty and so addicting!
Warning: these little balls of food ecstasy won’t last long after you make them. You might start making them every week! I’m not complaining, though.
Peanut Burger is a well-known snack in Nigeria and Ghana. I first fell in love with the commercial brand version in Nigeria. I could never get enough of it.
It was fast gaining popularity in Cameroon before I left. It is colloquially called “peanuts” there. I could see it in so many stores and snack stands.
I don’t know if that is still the case. Are “Peanuts” still so popular in pays? Please let me know below if you are in Cameroon right now.
So a while ago I got a couple of requests to do a recipe for this. I was mad at myself for not making this in a long time… over two years! Why Precious, why??? I repent.
Making Peanut Burger Snack could be time-consuming but it is quite easy and the taste pays for the time. I promise.
All you need is some raw peanuts. Then you coat the peanuts with some flour, eggs, sugar salt and nutmeg if you like. Viola, peanut burger!

Put your groundnuts in a bowl and select to take out all the bad ones.
Mix together flour, baking powder, nutmeg and salt and set aside.
Beat eggs together with sugar in another bowl.
Pour a little of the egg mixture over the groundnuts. Shake bowl until mixture coats all the groundnuts.
Sprinkle some of the flour mixture over the groundnuts and shake.
Repeat 4 and 6 above until groundnuts are completely coated with flour. If some stick together, use your fingers to separate them and keep going.
Heat oil on medium heat and fry in batches until golden brown.
Allow to cool completely then you can serve or store in an airtight container.
It is okay to have some flour at the base of your bowl when coating the groundnuts. Make sure you separate the nuts from the flour before frying.

What preservative can be used to extend the shelflife of peanut burger
Hi precious.. I just watched your video and i’ll definitely let you know when I make mine
Sure Unung! Looking forward to some feedback!
Please ma, are you using already fried groundnut or raw?
Raw.
How long can you leave ur coated peanuts unfried
For a few hours.
You're welcome, dear.
Please how can I make peanut burger smooth, without any whitish stain after drying?
precious are you marry or not
because am looking for female friend maybe we can be come a friend
I found what I have been looking. Thanks precious.
Hi Chidozie, did you use your fingers to separate them while rubbing them with the flour? It could be that you poured in too much of the egg mixture at once. Only a little should be poured at a time, then you pour the flour. When the mixture is much, a lot of the groundnuts will marry each other that's stick together.
I actually donโt know why why mine sticks together?then Iโll be the one separating them myself, Thanks this truly helped me
Hello Precious. Thanks for the recipe but mine didn't turn out well. The groundnuts kept on sticking to themselves despite the addition of flour. Pls reply
Use your hand to separate the groundnut and add flour that shake. It requires patience
Nice to meet you Ify!!! Lol the burger is part of the name of the peanut snack. Hope to see more of you here, dear. Love to your cuties.
Awwww Precious, what a lovely blog you have here. I'm also a mom to two adorable cuties and I can Soooooo relate with most of your write ups! I loooooooooove this your blog. And yes I love peanuts snacks and the burger????? Mmmmmmm yummmmy yummmmm!
Thanks a lot for the session.
But can I use already fried groundnuts?
I can totally relate to developing muscles while shaking. I think that happens because we try to put a thick coat of flour over the groundnuts so we keep shaking and shaking. Putting a thinner coat, just enough to cover the groundnuts works well. Video will be uploaded soon, dear. This technology sef *sigh*
Good evening ma I tried making the peanut but mine was not smooth what may be the cause and how can you help me. Looking at it, it was rough
OK thank a lot ma,iwill be waiting to watched the video
Hi Grace, the video is in the post. You can watch it now.
My dear it is still very popular in Cameroon now. I really want to see the video, it sounds easier here than the way we make them. I developed muscles from shaking to coat the peanut. Hubby likes them alot but I only make them when I have holidays. It demands physical strength and patience
Thanks for the recipe why is it that when ones peanut cools down it changes colour and have dots of black patch around them.
Thanks
