If you love groundnuts you wouldย loooove Peanut Burger Snack. This is a snack made by coating groundnuts otherwise known as peanuts with flour and other ingredients.
Oh my! Does deliciousness come any better than this? Peanut Burger is so crunchy, slightly sweet, nutty and so addicting!
Warning: these little balls of food ecstasy won’t last long after you make them. You might start making them every week! I’m not complaining, though.
Peanut Burger is a well-known snack in Nigeria and Ghana. I first fell in love with the commercial brand version in Nigeria. I could never get enough of it.
It was fast gaining popularity in Cameroon before I left. It is colloquially called “peanuts” there. I could see it in so many stores and snack stands.
I don’t know if that is still the case. Are “Peanuts” still so popular in pays? Please let me know below if you are in Cameroon right now.
So a while ago I got a couple of requests to do a recipe for this. I was mad at myself for not making this in a long time… over two years! Why Precious, why??? I repent.
Making Peanut Burger Snack could be time-consuming but it is quite easy and the taste pays for the time. I promise.
All you need is some raw peanuts. Then you coat the peanuts with some flour, eggs, sugar salt and nutmeg if you like. Viola, peanut burger!

Thankz u precious i ave been looking for dis type of write-up kudos to u(weldone). My question goes thus, (a)Is there are machine u can use 4 peanut burger? (b) can will use fried/roasted peanut?(c) which vegetable oil is preferable to use. Thankz u alot
Hi Adebayo,
I’m glad the post is helpful to you. To answer your questions:
a.) I have never heard of a machine that could be used in making these.
b.) You should use raw peanuts. The roasted ones may burn when deep-fried
c.) Just any vegetable oil will do. Personally, I would use canola oil since it is healthier and has no strong smell.
Hello Precious, thanks for this recipe. Didn’t know baking powder too could be used. I do mine with solid milk like Nido .i.e 2 cups of groundut : 2 level table spoons of milk. What is the disadvantage of using milk as part of the mixture?? Thanks
even wen i add egg flour etc repeatedly it sticks to the basin not the peanut leaving rhe peanut with thin layer urs looks chubby thats what i love to achieve
Hi Elvis, sorry for the late response. It’s normal for some of your egg/flour to stick to the bottom of the bowl. When this happens, use a spoon to scoop it so it can coat to the peanuts. Please watch the video to see how I do it.
please precious thqnks for your blog God bless u real good .i tried the peanut burger but i discouver after frying the burger smell groundnut geoundnut i dont think thqts normal pls how can i solve this problem and alos it does not coat thickly

Thanks Precious for your reply on Youtube.
You’re welcome, dear.
i make it but d sugar is not enoug and d salt is much.
Hi Ronke, the recipe says a pinch of salt and 1/3 cup of sugar. I guess you measured wrongly.
How long does peanut last before it will not be ok for consumption?
I would say about 2 weeks in an airtight container.
even wen i add egg flour etc repeatedly it sticks to the basin not the peanut leaving rhe peanut with thin layer urs looks chubby thats what i love to achieve

Hi Elvis, did you follow the exact measurements? Looks like your coating wasn’t thick enough. I would say increase the flour, egg and sugar.
Please my peanut was very soft, how do i make it very strong
Hi, did you follow my measurements?
hi Precious, plz can I add flavour?
Yes Princess, you can add flavor. I think nutmeg or vanilla will be good.
can I add both nutmeg and vanilla flavour? can I also add liquid milk?
Yes you could add both, dear. If you want to add liquid milk, reduce the eggs. But I’ve never made it with milk so not sure how it will turn out.
Hi precious
Can water be added to the flour when mixing with egg
Hi Maureen, there is no need to add water if you follow my measurements.
HI Precious, thanks for this blog.
You are welcome, dear.
