If you love groundnuts you wouldย loooove Peanut Burger Snack. This is a snack made by coating groundnuts otherwise known as peanuts with flour and other ingredients.
Oh my! Does deliciousness come any better than this? Peanut Burger is so crunchy, slightly sweet, nutty and so addicting!
Warning: these little balls of food ecstasy won’t last long after you make them. You might start making them every week! I’m not complaining, though.
Peanut Burger is a well-known snack in Nigeria and Ghana. I first fell in love with the commercial brand version in Nigeria. I could never get enough of it.
It was fast gaining popularity in Cameroon before I left. It is colloquially called “peanuts” there. I could see it in so many stores and snack stands.
I don’t know if that is still the case. Are “Peanuts” still so popular in pays? Please let me know below if you are in Cameroon right now.
So a while ago I got a couple of requests to do a recipe for this. I was mad at myself for not making this in a long time… over two years! Why Precious, why??? I repent.
Making Peanut Burger Snack could be time-consuming but it is quite easy and the taste pays for the time. I promise.
All you need is some raw peanuts. Then you coat the peanuts with some flour, eggs, sugar salt and nutmeg if you like. Viola, peanut burger!

Put your groundnuts in a bowl and select to take out all the bad ones.
Mix together flour, baking powder, nutmeg and salt and set aside.
Beat eggs together with sugar in another bowl.
Pour a little of the egg mixture over the groundnuts. Shake bowl until mixture coats all the groundnuts.
Sprinkle some of the flour mixture over the groundnuts and shake.
Repeat 4 and 6 above until groundnuts are completely coated with flour. If some stick together, use your fingers to separate them and keep going.
Heat oil on medium heat and fry in batches until golden brown.
Allow to cool completely then you can serve or store in an airtight container.
It is okay to have some flour at the base of your bowl when coating the groundnuts. Make sure you separate the nuts from the flour before frying.

Good morning MA I made peanuts for the first time today. There is something I noticed after frying the nuts taste undone and is soft please help out what is my mistake?
Hi, follow my exact measurements and directions for best results. It looks like your mixture was wrong and you didn’t fry the peanuts long enough.
Thank you Ma, i so much love love peanut and i want to start packaging it for business, but, please like how long does it stay from the time i make them ? Please i need you reply
During peanut preparation, we are to first fried the groundnut right?
No, you don’t fry first.
Okay.
I tried one with fried groundnut and what i got was not desirable out all. I will try another with raw groundnut and see.
Good day ma’am
I tried the recipes and it came out having dot all over the body
What could be the error?
Thanks a lot,I will try mine, hope it will come out nice like yours.
Precious,
My friend and I were introduced to these on a European cruise… sooo many flavors. I am going to suprise her and make them for her Christmas gift.
Thanks sooo much for posting recipe and video.
Fingers crossed.
Thank you so much maam, in order to archive smooth result, is it advisable to mix the flour like we do while making chinchin and add the groundnut seed inside and fry? How do you think it will come out. Thank you ma
That won’t work as well as this method. It will be hard to get the dough to coat the groundnuts perfectly. Also, it will take a lot of time to coat every single one. Hope this helps.
Mime came out well Precy but it looks whitish….Please, any solution for that?
Hi Pascy, you need to let the peanuts fry until golden brown. It could be that you didn’t let them fry long enough. Hope this helps.
Hi precious. Thanks for the recipe. I did mine but I discovered the sugar isn’t enough and it didn’t coat well.
Can I try redoing it with the same peanut I used earlier?
Please I’ll really appreciate it if I can get the answer ASAP Thanks
Keep coating it until it coats completely. Also, follow my exact measurements for best results. Hope this helps.
Thanks. I did another one and it’s superb
Actually, that one that didn’t coat well I’ve already fried it. My question now is can I coat the already fried peanuts again? I don’t know if you understand me
